Detox Treatment: How Effective?

It's a big decision and a lot of support is involved in order to go through opiate detox treatment. Support from immediate family as well as friends is a must if someone wants to be successful with this kind of treatment. This is my personal belief.

In order to be able to go through the treatment plan, the person must undergo detoxification process. This is the process of removing/getting rid of the drugs/alcohol of the addicted person body and getting the person physically stable.

This process is best achieve under the care of a health care professional because of the danger to the person detoxing. There are many health concerns when a person is undergoing detox. A few things that can happen are:

- the person may experience delirium or in medical term DT's or delirieum tremens. According to PubMed Health "Delirium tremens is a severe form of alcohol withdrawal that involves sudden and severe mental or nervous system changes. Symptoms most often occur within 72 hours after the last drink..."
- seizure can occur
- nausea and vomiting
- rapid heart rate (hyperventilation)
- tremors

If the person is addictive to a certain medications or prescription drugs, the doctor can safely detox the patient by prescribing lesser dosage until the body will get used to lower dosage. But there are times that this process is not effective.

If you know a love one that are going through some type of addiction, its best to intervene as early as possible. Find some support system that will be able to help and consult a professional in order for this process to be effective.

Passion for Music

I have a 5 years old daughter who loves music, loves to sing, loves to dance and there are times that she even knows the lyrics better than I do. Last night we were singing a song from a famous band, which I am not going to mentioned :) but from out of nowhere she just said, "Mommy we should start a band, I will be the singer and you can play the drum" and I was like, "We can totally do that!"

I've always wanted to learn how to play the drum. But it looks like it's so complicated. I can use one drum and that's about it.

My question is do I need to encourage her love of playing musical instrument while she is young or maybe wait a few more years to see if she is really going to love it. In this way I don't waste money and time. Or maybe I can go ahead and buy one of those electronic drum set and let her just have a go with it. She may not be the only one that will love it. I know I will definitely have a turn with it and maybe even my husband.

As an older student, there are times that I still prefer to write using a pen and paper during lecture instead of using a computer to take notes. But there are a lot of students now a days that prefer using a laptop to take to school to do note taking and pretty much everything else. Before I went to nursing school, I have absolutely no idea of the terminologies, let alone the names of the different instrument used by the hospitals, clinics, nurses, doctors or any other medical personnel. When I came across the word stadiometer I immediately thought it's something that you used for measuring something... because it has meter on the word. Well, it turns out it is "a device for measuring height that typically consists of a vertical ruler with a sliding horizontal rod or paddle which is adjusted to rest on the top of the head" that's according to merriam webster dictionary.

So I found this really nice metal building that I think will work in our backyard. There used to be a small shed beside that garage and it's not really working for us, it's just an eye sore. So now that it has been taken down, the next plan is to tear down the other small shed and just build an extension or a separate building. Finding the right one while not spending too much is a bit difficult.

When I found this image I thought it's the answer to our shed problem. With this metal building it has a straight sides with high sidewall with no poles to get in the way. It can be used for a one car or two car garage, a backyard workshop, a commercial shop which will work with the business of my husband and it can also work as a equipment storage. One of the electronic device that I love as far as the inventions is the of course the television. And as it continue to evolve it gets better and better. One of the thing that I really like about having all the latest technology is being able to go to school without leaving your home. online university has been one of the great addition when it comes to education. I work for the school website and there's more and more student that are enrolling with online courses now a days.

I myself has been taking online classes and I think online university are perfect for everybody. May you be a busy mom who wants to go back to school but don't have time, a career person, or someone who wants to pursue other things while still finishing school. It doesn't matter what you have going on in life, taking online classes is absolutely a great addition.

With the way the gas prices is there will come a time that a lot of us won't be able to afford to go anywhere anymore. My family will probably use just one vehicle just so we can still go to school and work. Or perhaps start using public transportation... come to think of it I don't really mind using public transportation. I've used it for 30 years. I was going to talk about all this madness that is happening in the middle east and how it is affecting the prices of gas, but then again I am not well informed on the details, all I know is there's chaos out there and the gas is soaring high making more and more people get cash advance just so they can make it on their day to day lives.

Do I even want to go how the government handles this issue? Can the government not do anything about it, regulate the increase... it's crazy. Poor judgement and poor leadership...all talk and no actions. That's all that I can say.

It's that time of the year again...time for a spring cleaning. That means, cleaning up the yard and start planting and making your yard gorgeous. Franchising Our Favorite Restaurant

A few weeks ago, we (my husband, me and my daughter) went out to dinner to celebrate my 30 something birthday. LOL... I'm getting old so let's just leave the number to 30. And my husband wanted to drive all the way to Lewisville (~45 minutes to 1 hour drive depending on the traffic, we might get there ~30 minutes if my husband is the driver) to do the dinner because one of our favorite restaurant is there. It's either we drive to Lewisville or to Sherman, which is about the same distance. Either way, they are both far and I'd rather go to Lewisville than head over to Sherman.

So I told my husband that we can just try one of the new restaurant over where my sister live because its closer and we don't have to do a long drive. That's what we did. When we got to the area and was looking for a place to park, I saw our favorite restaurant beside the restaurant that we plan to eat to. Me and my husband got all excited that he turned around and went to the other restaurant without even noticing that its not open yet. We got disappointed and went back to the other restaurant. Oh well!

Anyway, this restaurant don't just open and start another one unlike others, that they end up closing because the location is too close to each other. And I have been wanting to get information about how to franchise and how much it would cost to franchise one. Now finally, they opened one that is close to us. Ding! Ding!

Health Facts: Medication Tolerance

Our topic in school last week was Gastrointestinal System or GI for short. And there's so many things that I've learned in order to take care of our GI system, as well as the problems that we can have if we don't take care of it. I've also learned how to asses and look for signs and symptoms if there is something wrong with our GI system. I guess my professor did pretty good teaching on this system.

So just a few health facts that I want to share.

Nutrition according to Burke of my Medical and Surgical book is the process of ingesting, absorbing, using and eliminating food in the body. The digestive organs involved in these processes are the GI tract, which includes the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, and the accessory organs - liver, pancreas and gallbladder. With so many parts involve in this system this means that a lot of complications can happen on it if we don't take care of our GI system.

Some problems that you may encounter involving GI are: Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colits, Appendicitis, Diarhhea, Constipation, Colorectal cancer, etc.

There's a lot of us that does self diagnose and we tend to ignore things when it comes to our health and perhaps we don't educate ourselves enough before doing something.

Take for example, using laxatives or giving enemas... there's a lot of products in the market that claim to help clean out our system. Products like colonix, claim to clean the colons because it contains fiber. Fiber is good to loosen up what ever is in your colon and helps you have a smooth evacuation, but before trying out something that involves your health it is always safe to consult your physician. Feel So Overwhelmed

For the past couple of days now I haven't been getting enough sleep because I am all stressed out with school and all the test that we been having. Then next week we are back in the hospital for our clinical. Yey! Fun right? 8 hours of standing... well maybe 6 hours... the rest will be researching medicines and trying to do our care plan, and then panicking because I have to give an injections or oral medications. Whoah... did I just spit those out?

You probably have no idea what I am talking about, or perhaps you know exactly what I mean. But the reason I started my post about this craziness is due to the fact that I am feeling overwhelmed right now. And I think it is showing in my face... all the break outs and the pores on my nose... its crazy. I need more time!

Now, I have to find some good stuff to take care of this pores that have gone wacko because I been sleeping late and not getting enough time to rest. I can't even remember the last time I use therapores for my face or any other facial cleanser.

I really have to do time management so I can better take care of my self.

A better headphone

Every night before I go to bed, I listen to my lecture audio so I can remember things for my course. And every time, I would fall sleep, wake up and the audio was still playing. Last night was no different, but I was using a different headphones, the one without a controller for turning off.

I end up falling asleep as usual and I woke up this morning because my phone was beeping on me, telling me that its about to die because of low battery. It's been playing all night and I forgot to turn it off.

I definitely need a new headphone. I wonder if there's a wireless headphone. I keep thinking that I might choke at night with all the wires. Hopefully tonight I won't forget to turn it off, otherwise I'll end up with a dead cellphone in the morning.

Shortage of Electricity

A few weeks ago, Texas has some issues about power shortage and a lot of the major areas had actually lost electricity from 15 minutes to over an hour. And if you are a business owner or even just somebody who needs electricity to do everything... which by the way, everybody needs it, then you are probably one angry person.

When electric company was asked the reason behind the problem, they said that because of the winter storm, people has been using up a lot of electricity. Well, what do they expect, its cold! We need heat. It just makes me think that maybe... just maybe this company are not really ready for things like the winter storm and should be looking at improving the service.

Good thing our little city didn't have any problem as far as electricity but we lost our cable and internet connect. There are times though that there's a little hiccup. Last, last week was one of the worst weather that we had in Texas and it's the week that you'd probably wish for a honda generator just to have a back up in case there's no electricity.

I definitely don't want to freeze because some company can't give the service that they need to.

My daughter as you all know started wearing glasses since she was 1 1/2 year. To date she had 5 pairs of glasses and going to her 6 now, and she is not even 5 years old. Yup! We are actually glad that it was diagnosed early and now her prescription is going down but I still think that she might have a surgery later on. I am hoping it will still get fix so she won't have any surgery, just crossing my finger on that one.

Anyways, the last time she went to the doctor her dad took her and I didn't get to ask any question... hopefully the next time she go, I can come too. But I have been having some problem with my eyes as well and I have been wanting to see an eye doctor. I am hoping that I just need one of those Clic EyeWear for reading. My eyes gets blurry when I am staring and reading for a long time and blinking does not help.

I just couldn't find the time to see an eye doctor. Hopefully comes spring break, I can visit one. It's really annoying now.

As I was trying to search for information as to what is the average american woman size, I came across so many articles and I can't actually decide which one is the true.

Here's some of the snippets of the information I've read:

Now this is just something that I've read, I cannot actually proved that this information are true but I am sure there's more information out there than can back me up on this. And with the issue about physical appearance, more and more women are turning to weight loss pills that work in order to attain that "ideal" look.

As one website says "The "ideal" woman--portrayed by models, Miss America, Barbie dolls, and screen actresses--is 5'7", weighs 100 lbs, and wears a size 8". Well we can't really do much about the height but the weight, theres plenty of wiggle room on that.

Then I found this photo from Glamour Magazine that shows plus size models and a more representative of the average American women, who is a size 14.

Although I am not sure if this article put an emphasis on being healthy. I would love for magazines to feature healthy women, regardless of size and shape. And you definitely don't wanna be like this.

The Cellphone Craze

I can't tell you how many times I've shake my head in the last week because every time I am driving I am seeing drivers who are texting while driving. I don't know how they can do it because I cant do it, there is just no way that you can drive and not wreck while texting. Now maybe if you are talking on the phone, it's possible. I am guilty from time to time and I don't really want to do it but there are times that my husband/sister would call and I have to pick up. Or if there's an emergency but I usually use a headset so I can focused on driving.

A couple of weeks ago, a lady that was texting almost hit us while we were on our way to my sister's house. She didn't even slow down and I was pushed to the side of the road so I can avoid her SUV. Some people... was all I can say.

Now there are those places that are banning using cellphone when you are on a particular zone like the school. But its not enough. I think its an absolute to make it into a law that you cannot use your cellphone if you are driving. But that's just me... I don't know how the government will be able to do it since EVERYBODY has cellphone...even a 10 year old has a samsung cell phones. I'm not saying its wrong, it's good for emergencies but not so much of the cons ( for youngsters anyways).

I guess you could say I am old fashioned when it comes to other things. I just want my kid to actually be responsible enough to even have one. Blame it to my generation.

Last batch of leaves have fallen

Finally! Now all we have to do is clean up all the leaves in our front and back yard, not forgetting the ones that are stuck in the flower bed. Those take some time since I can't use any rake and it's definitely going to be a lot of bending just to get to the leaves.

I was over to my sister's house the other day and me and my brother in law was talking about how it's a pain to clean up all the leaves and we got into talking about the tree of their neighbor. The reason for that is because the tree on their front yard hasn't turn yellow or red or brown. Its still green and leaves are still intact. We don't really know what is the name of the tree but we definitely agree that it's much better. The foliage of the tree is gorgeous too. My sister has maple on their front yard and we had bradford tree in ours, plus the other 6 different trees (3 in the backyard, 2 on the side and another one in the front). The previous owner of the house must really love trees.

For our next house we are definitely going to choose the type of tree that will be planted in our yard. I love something that changes colors as the season changes, like sweet gum tree. But then again this tree will have a bunch of leaves as well in the yard. So I guess we really don't have any choice but to rake leaves. Maybe by that time we can get one of those handy dandy gadget that will just eat up leaves.

Time for a do-over for our bed cover

2011 is here and its time to clean up all the decors from Christmas. Have you started already. I bet a lot of you are probably done now and just cleaning up the clutter. I've read from one of the lady from one of my social media account that she is almost done, some haven't started. I am one of those who hasn't done anything. The ground outside is still a little dump and I don't want to remove the reindeer and snowman... not yet. I am letting the sun dry them up a little bit. I'll probably remove them tomorrow. Now the tree inside...still contemplating about it. I don't have the box for the tree and I certainly cannot reach it. I think I will wait on that as well, until tonight when my husband gets home from work. He can get the box from the garage and it will be faster if there's two of us removing all the decors.

I haven't remove any of our decors, I was still able to do some cleaning in the kitchen and a little bit of tidying in the bedroom. Although every time I fix our bed I so wanted to get those luxury bed linens that I saw when I was doing my Christmas shopping. It totally goes with the design I want for our bedroom. It will go well with the theme and will coordinate with the color I want for the furniture and the wall. But, before I even think of buying the linens, I still have to convince my husband to let me paint the drawer and dresser a different color. The furniture in our bedroom looks like from the 80's and its just not my taste, but for now I guess it will be fine. But comes end of the year those ugly colors are going.

Does Holiday = Weight Gain?

Everybody tends to over eat during holiday, I mean why bother cooking and going to parties if you are not going to eat. Let's face it we all love mixing food and festivities. It feels dull and boring if there is no food and you have a party or gathering. It's just doesn't feel right.

So does holiday then = weight gain? It doesn't have to. You can eat all your favorite food this holiday without gaining an extra pounds. However, if you did over eat and gain some weight, you can always check out some diet pills for women and men.

Here's a few tips I've put together for you in order to avoid gaining weight during the holiday season.

Decorate, Decorate and more decorations

Tonight, we started putting decorations for Christmas. The first one on our list is of course the christmas tree. This time though we did a little different as far as putting the lights before the decorations.

Last month I was blogging about having a theme decor, just to make it a little different. But every time I mention about theme decorating, my husband automatically says something... something that really makes my eyes roll.

I don't know what's his objection about theme decorations. It's not like we are going to throw all the current decorations that we have. I mean all our decorations has been with us for a couple of years already, and I feel that it's time to change just to break the monotony of our designs. I love it when it's different every time.

Hopefully, I can persuade him to agree on a theme decorations for our Christmas Tree. Otherwise I just have to change the design one at a time and hopefully by the time he noticed, I am done changing all the christmas tree ornaments.

White Shoes for Clinical

My clinical for school is almost done, but even though it is about to end for this semester, I still have more to come for the coming semester. And with that, it means that I still have to find a white shoes that I can use for my uniform.

What happen was I have to get one in a hurry and I didn't really have enough time to shop around for something nicer. Although the one I have now is great, I would probably prefer a Nike Shox, like the picture below.

One particular reason is that, I am petite and I needed a little elevation for any shoes I wear and the one I have now is really flat. No elevation at all and I fell so small on it. Plus, I am not used to wearing flats so it feels a little different. This Nike that I found online is perfect. It has elevation and the design is cute. I can use it not only for clinical but also for everyday activities.

I remember, when I was working back in the Philippines me and a couple of my friends-coworker would go on the gym after work and workout (aerobics) and some toning exercise. I've noticed lately that I have been getting a lot of white heads specially around my nose area. And whenever I used something, such as makeup on my face within a few days the white heads just start showing up. It's irritating because whenever I try to feel the side of my nose, I can feel all the bumps.

Last night I did a good scrubbing because if I didn't you can really see all of it, showing and it makes me really self conscious. While I was doing all the ritual stuff in cleaning my face, I keep thinking that maybe its time check some acne treatment systems. It can't hurt right? I'll be able to find out more about on how to avoid getting all the whiteheads.

I try to wash my face every night and put some facial cream after. Maybe it's my facial cream that adds up to the oiliness and that's why more and more are showing up. I just tried this new facial cream that I thought would help since I am getting into that age that wrinkles start showing. I think it does more damage because of the white heads issue that helps.

Holiday Vacation

Recently, major changes happened in our lives. One of those was my daughter started school and I went back to work. On top of that, I am also going to school full time (Monday - Friday), I used to just go to school part time.

With this major changes, some other plans are also being made since there are other things that we as a family are waiting to happen. But while waiting for it, I don't really want to put things on hold. And with that I was thinking of maybe we can finally do an Orlando vacation this holiday since we can actually save up now, since I am working and afford to go.

I have been wanting to do something and get out of Texas for a while now. It's been a while since we had our last vacation. I love walking on a soft carpet, don't you? I most people like it to. However, if you are the one cleaning and vacuuming the carpet and you have children, you begin to wonder what it would be like to have a wood flooring or laminate flooring. I remember when we were kids, we used to clean our floor and making it really shiny. We used to have a wood flooring and what we did was used wax to make it shiny. We apply the wax and waited a while and when it's time to polish it, we used rug and slide on it. Not only that we had fun but we did our chores.

I love to shop, who doesn't. Most of the time though I end up buying either for my daughter or my husband. Truth to be told, I do most of the shopping for clothing for my husband. He is not the type of man who would go to the mall or stores in order to buy himself something. So I do most of the shopping.

I particularly love to shop for my husband due to the fact that not a lot of men actually shop for deals or sales. Usually what they do is if they want something, they go and buy it. They don't do "shopping" in order to get a good deal. So when I shop for my husband, I find so many deals that I end up over buying.

The only issue with me buying him clothes is that, there are still some clothes that I bought for him before and it hasn't even worn. See, he grows up in a colder weather as opposed to me who is used to warm weather. During the colder season, everybody is all wrapped up and he still wears shorts. I bought him a couple of longs sleeves and he rarely used it.

This year though I want to get him a cashmere sweaters, but I am a bit hesitant because he might not even wear it. Although, if we spend our holiday somewhere colder than Texas...it never gets cold enough here for him to wear a sweater, he might wear it... just maybe.

I really love this sweater (shown above) that I found online and I'm thinking if I will get it or not. Well, I have some time to think about this one...hopefully when holiday comes I've made up my mind.

So I haven't been blogging for a while...since school started. It's just has been very hectic as far as school, work and family. I can barely find time for myself and if ever I find some time, all I want to do is sleep.

I can't complain though, this is something that I want to do, not just for myself but for my family as well. I am hoping that after I finished school and start working, we can at least be financially okay. But right now, I just have to make sure that I eat and breath all these nursing stuff.

The other day I saw some medical carts, and I can just imagine myself working in the hospital. I can feel the adrenaline rushing and I can just see myself working in the emergency room or maybe in the operating room. I know I am still far from there, but I'll get there.

I was browsing around tonight for some writing desk while we were at the store and I found a few modern furniture that I think will look good for our bedroom. I been wanting to add a writing desk to it so I can use it when I am studying and I don't have to be destructed by the television, little bit of privacy and I don't have to use the dining table to do my studying.

Over the course of the summer, I have read and read and read a bunch of novels. So now I have this huge pile of books lying everywhere in my house and since we don't have a study area I don't really have a place to store them. Some of it are now being stored inside and beside the TV console. Some are on our night stand, others are on the bench beside our window and some are pile up inside my goody basket.

Since I am going to school, I also have these other science books that I did not sell after the semester was over. I wanted to keep them since I can use them for reference since it takes a while for updates when it comes to science and reference is always good.

But these other books, novels in particular I want to sell some of them. I just want to keep the one that I like and I found some websites where you can sell used books. Although, I can probably go to our local bookstore and see how much I will get for these used books. The extra cash will be nice... So tonight, it's my turn to do the same. This recipe is not actually mine, I've learned it from my brother in law when I was still living with my sister a couple of years ago and I just added a little bit of my personal touch to it when I start cooking it.

If you have a child who is a picky eater it's difficult to just give them stem vegetables, specially if its a brocolli. Now, my daughter is a picky eater, however even though she is a picky eater she will eat the brocolli as long as it is cooked like the casserole and pair it with rice. So when it comes to brocolli she has no qualms about it. Much like when she has this so called growing pain, the only solution that I can use for it is using a little bit of massage and vicks. I know its not for joint pain relief but I think its more of a placebo on her case... rubbing and the cuddle that she gets from her parents that make her feel better.

But anyway, let me give you the ingredients for this quick dinner.

Ingredients:

2 stalks of brocolli

2 pieces of bread

a pinch of salt

a pinch of pepper

1 can of cream of mushroom

4 slices of cheese (if you want it to be cheesy you can add a few more)

Steps:

Pre heat the oven to 350O F.

Cut the brocolli and remove most of the stalks and only the top part remain, then cut it into smaller pieces. Put the cut brocolli into a bowl, tear the bread into smaller pieces, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the can of cream and mushroom. Mix it really well. Add the cheese on top. Cover with an aluminum foil and bake it for 30-45 minutes with 350O F.

Don't forget to check the brocolli after 30 minutes to make sure you don't over cooked or burn the cheese.

Mine was a little overcooked because I was talking to my sister while I was cooking and so I forgot to check it.

For the shrimp, its really easy. This is more like a popcorn shrimp. I purchased 1 lb of shrimp with peal on it. If you are not up to the job of pealing the shrimp, you can get the pealed one.

Here's the ingredients:

1 lb of shrimp
2 eggs
flour/batter
cooking oil
salt

Use a deep fryer in order to cook the shrimp really well. In my case, I don't have a deep fryer so instead I used a deep skillet as my deep fryer.

Steps:
Pre heat the cooking oil. While waiting for the cooking oil to heat up, cut up the bottom of the shrimp in the middle. I was trying to get the effect of the shrimp that we ate from a local restaurant but since I am using a flour it didn't turn out right. So its better if you use a batter. Beat 2 eggs on a bowl and set aside. Pour the flour/batter and set aside. Add some salt on the shrimp to give it a taste.

Put the shrimp on the egg, make sure the shrimp gets soaked up with the egg. Instead of putting one shrimp at a time I went ahead and put a bunch of it and then transfer it to the bowl with flour. Roll it good on the flour and then drop it on the your deep fryer or your deep skillet.

Do the same thing until you are done with all of the shrimp.

This 2 dish is really easy to make and I bet your kids will enjoy helping in the kitchen.

Dark Circles

Also, I've noticed that that some of the discoloration around my eyes are caused by the mascara I am using. It's water resistant so it's a little bit harder to remove.

Now if you are a bit skeptic about doing all the research on your own, there are reliable websites that you can use. You can also ask health professional (dermatologist) but find one that you can trust and is just not after your money.

I think this is what I need. My wedding and engagement ring had been soldered together and it looks like one ring. And when I got pregnant I gained a lot of weight and sad to say that I still have those weight. So what happened is my ring is now tight that I hardly wear it anymore and we have been thinking about having it resize. We also have the option to have it upgraded if we want to. But the ring has some sort of sentimental value to me now so i don't really want to trade it. I might end up keeping it and just getting a new one(once we can afford it) or have it resize about it has been separated.

We have a few options to work on, hopefully I will keep it and maybe pass it to my daughter if she likes it.

Now there's nothing wrong in pampering your pets, specially if it makes you happy. Buying them clothing, accessories or pet beds are some of the things that pet owners gave to their furry friend. Specially for those who can afford it, they can try this bed with canopy on it.

I remember when I was in the Philippines. I have this cat that I name after my ex boyfriend. It's sounds a little ecky...I know! But I was young and I actually gave that name to my cat because I love saying the name.

Odd Combination

It's my dinner...pizza and coffee. Now it doesn't actually sounds good but it actually taste fine. I was having some coffee while browsing online and waiting for our dinner to be ready which I am sure you know...pizza. It's almost the weekend so we just decided to have pizza for tonight. Although, its a little tough since my daughter is actually not a big fan of pizza so I still have to cook rice for her. I ordered some chicken for lunch so she has some left over chicken and rice instead of the pizza.

I don't know how my daughter can actually survive if the only food available doesn't include white rice. She just loves rice. Not just any rice, it has to be the white one or the sticky white one. She can eat that and nothing else and you won't hear any complain.

And while I was browsing I found this nice looking house from Outer banks foreclosures and I was just captured by the appeal and design of the layout. I love how the layout of the house is. I think I found our next house.

"Spacious two story home with large master suite on the first level, large kitchen, dining room, living combination and more on the first floor. Full amenity package, private/gated community close to the beach."

The only problem I have is that this house is located in North Carolina. Too far from Texas. I don't mind moving though to get this house...

Losing...Gaining...

I want to lose 20 pounds. Its my goal. However, I don't know where to start. I never thought that in my 30's I will be wishing to myself, hoping that it will be easy to lose weight.

I've always been skinny. It's my problem, I don't know how to gain weight. Well that was 10 years ago. These days my dialog is "it's so hard to lose weight".

Before no matter how much I ate, I can't even reach my goal of 90 pounds. Come to think of it though, I think my way of eating before was way different. I don't eat a lot of fast food. It's probably a little healthier and I do a lot of walking. And now the only walking I do is when I go to school, walk toward my SUV. The walking regime that I've started is gone again... hopefully though I will get back to it now that school is done. Maybe I'll check out some of those ab workout and see if I can make some of my gut go away.

Although I think the walking is not really going to make any difference when it comes to weight. It will probably give me a little bit of energy... but as far as losing weight, I really need to change the eating habit. Go back to the old eating habit.

Photo Card

So I been looking for photo cards for a while now so I can have the pictures of my daughter during the pageant here in our city. She joined the Little Miss Onion Blossom and she won, so it was very exciting and memorable for us and I wanted to sent some photos to my mom so she can see her grand daughter. But I have been busy with school and I just haven't found the time to look for one that will on my designs.

I was also thinking that maybe a scrapbook would be good so I can include all the photos for the whole year. Maybe some sort of like a photo book collected for the whole year. I think its really going to be fantastic because I can document the whole year. I just have to start taking pictures, do it everyday.

Its going to be a lot of work and a time consuming when its time to put them together and I don't really know how I can find the time to do it, but I think its really going to be worth it so my daughter can see have something to cherish with at the same time, I since we are too far from our immediate family, they can see my daughter and our lives as well.

I'll probably start September, the day my daughter turns 4. That will be a good day to start.
