Weather Hazard

If you have been in Texas for a while now, you probably had noticed that the weather changes in a blink of an eye. It was just gorgeous and the sun is out and then the next day there's blizzard and temperature drop from the 70's to 40's. If you constantly check the weather you might have a headache and you will be glued to the television.

Last night I was watching the news and there was this lady who was saying that she can't take the weather changes anymore and she can't want to go home to the Carolina's. I wonder if the weather over there is more predictable. I mean I've heard a lot about Carolina and moving there is not such a bad idea. There's this real estate called Wilmington NC real estate that I found online and they have some great featured property on their site.

I found one house that is reasonable in price. I just can't wait until I am done with school and find a great paying job so I can actually help out. But for now, I guess we just have to endure the weather hazard. Beside, I think anywhere you go it will be like this.

6 Tips for Better Bulbs

Spring-flowering bulbs such as daffodils signal the arrival of a new gardening season. Here's how to care for your hardy bulbs so you can enjoy their wonderful show of color year after year:

1. Remove faded flowers to prevent the plant's energy from going to seed production.

2. When foliage is still green and flowers start to decline, sprinkle a handful of fertilizer around bulbs and water well.

3. Don't remove foliage until it yellows and withers. Leaves help bulbs build strength for next year's blooms, so the longer foliage lasts, the better the bulbs will grow the following year. After foliage has yellowed—sometimes as late as July—you can safely cut it off at ground level.

4. Replace and divide. After three or four years, some hardy bulbs start to crowd each other and don't bloom well.

5. Store healthy, large bulbs in a dry, cool, well-ventilated room—out of direct sunlight—until fall planting time, or replant in a flower bed with plenty of organic matter and adequate room to grow.

Enjoy your bulbs longer—use a repellent to protect them from deer and rabbits.

Undersea Volcano Erupts in South Pacific

NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga – Scientists sailed Thursday to inspect an undersea volcano that has been erupting for days near Tonga — shooting smoke, steam and ash thousands of feet (meters) into the sky above the South Pacific ocean.

Authorities said Thursday the eruption does not pose any danger to islanders at this stage, and there have been no reports of fish or other animals being affected.

Spectacular columns are spewing out of the sea about 6 miles (10 kilometers) from the southwest coast off the main island of Tongatapu — an area where up to 36 undersea volcanoes are clustered, geologists said.

Trade winds continued to blow gas and steam away from the island Thursday.

Needing more cash

Now that the carpet in our house was finally replaced we can start doing more makeover. The problem is we dont' have any more budget. I was thinking maybe we can do a loan towards the equity of our house or maybe even do a payday loans. This type of loan don't require a lot of checking so it's easier to get them. Although the rate is a bit higher than the normal loan, the chance of being approve is almost 100%. They don't really look more on the credit history, unlike if you get a loan from your bank or your credit union. This is more like borrowing money from a friend. However, you have to make sure that you pay it off as fast as you can because the rate is higher than usual.

Although, these are definitely great if you need a quick cash and you don't want to borrow from your family.

Starting up a business

In the economy that we have right now, starting a business is a bit scary. Not only that you have to think of the starting money that you need but you have to make sure that the business you are going to start with will click to the masses.

Lately I have been thinking of buying an embroidery and start my own craft store online but the problem is I don't have enough time to start the process. Plus I dont have enough money to buy the machine. I was thinking maybe I can do a cash advance loan and pay it off small amount at a time. But maybe I can trade my sewing machine right now and get a better one with more features.

Oh well, anyways this is just a plan for now. I may do it in the future but I have to do a lot of thinking and planning for it. I just don't want to dive into something and later on not make any profit out of it and end up with nothing. It's always a great thing to plan everything so you know what to expect in the future.

Thinking about the future

One of the things that we have to worry when we are on the stage of retirement is how are we going to make it as far as bills and food is concerned. And I can't help but think of our future due to the fact that that we are just an ordinary citizen and at the moment we don't really have any retirement plan.

So I was thinking of checking some life insurance rates just to make sure that when I get to that stage everything is plan and my family will not have to worry about anything else. I've seen people where even to the last breath of their family member they are still having some problems specially financially. I don't really want to be a burden to my family member when I get to that point.

Securing the future is not only best for me but will be best for everybody else. I don't have to keep on worrying for I have done my assignment and got me a life insurance. I know there are some people that might think this is something that should not be done and should not be talk about, think again. If you really love your family, its better to secure your future while you are still young.

Another thing that I think is necessary is having a will. If you are thinking of the future of your kids, you need to secure your will while you are still able to. This reminds me of my father in law.. he died a couple of years ago because of cancer. He never had a will and the law in Kentucky is way different than the law in Texas. So my husband and his brother ended up not getting anything from whatever their father had... all of it went to his stepmother. Even the things that belong to their mom, they were not able to get it.

This just brings me some bad things about family but I just want to make my point. Secure your future for your kids.

Would it be cool to learn how to do it?

Would it be neat if you yourself knows how to do DNA testing? Maybe I am just a geeky type of person for I find it interesting if a person knows how to do paternity test. We actually did it when I was taking up my biology class. It's really interesting how it is being done.

What about hotels?

One of the things that I like when we go to any place for vacation is that you get to stay in a luxury hotel rooms and you don't have to do all the hard work to keep the room clean and looking nice.

I don't know what is it with me and hotel but I just love the idea of staying in the hotel. Well of course it has to be something nice.

I feel like if I am in a hotel am a tourist. Always looking for something fun and adventure that you can do for the day. And since spring break is next week, I am sure that most hotels are book specially that one that are closer to beaches. And with the spring break coming, there's going to be a lot of hotels giving promos to attract more business.

What's your current weight?

It's almost that time of the year again. I am talking about summer. When people flock the swimming pools and beaches. For college students spring break is the next best thing. Starting next week students will be going out of town and will be having their spring break. And if you have been getting ready to be able to show off what you had work on... toning your body and making sure that you are fit... this is the best time to do it.

The last time I blog about diet and working out and trying to lose weight was I think a couple of months ago and that time I was about 7lbs away from my target weight. Well, since then I haven't been keeping track of my weight and I haven't been doing any exercise either. Busy, busy... I don't have the time to do it. This summer I am going to make sure that I will reach my target weight since I am not going to do any summer school so I have all the time to do it.

I was reading some articles about some of the best diet pills and I am don't really want to take any since I am only about 7 lbs away from my target weight and with perseverance and discipline I think I can pretty much achieve that without some type of pills. Finally! We are getting some progress

Literally, we are getting some progress with our home makeover. I am talking about the carpet and the bathroom. Those are some of the major changes that we need to do in our house. And hopefully this coming week the carpet will be installed. Right now it is in back order but it has been paid so we are just waiting for it to be available. We are finally getting rid of the old stinky pink carpet.

And then our bathroom. I am not sure when we are actually going to start working on it. But we already have the sink and it's a Kohler sink. One of those clean designs that I have been wanting to get.

I don't know what is it with me and clean lines. I mean I am not a clean freak or something, although I want to because of my nose being sensitive to everything.

But back to the home progress... it's so good to look forward to a new look for the house. And what's the best time to start is this spring.
