I was reading the other day about different kinds of cancer and I read about mesothelioma."Mesothelioma is an asbestos-caused cancer of the membranes that surround many of the body’s vital organs. This membrane, known as mesothelium, secretes a lubricating fluid that provides easy movement of the organs within the body. When the mesothelium becomes cancerous, it is called mesothelioma. Surrounding the lung, the mesothelium is called the pleura and the form of mesothelioma is called pleural mesothelioma." Now if it is on a different parts of the body it also has a different name.
I was just amazed as to how many people are being diagnosed with this kind of cancer. I found a really great site that talks more about mesothelioma. Now I am not that familiar with asbestos but according to what I've read, asbestos is a natural material that is made up of tiny fibers. It was used as an insulation in building and ships but now a days it is not being used anymore due to health issues.
