The next big holiday is almost here so here's a few simple ideas that can help you and your child feel happier and healthier at this special time of the year.

Beauty in the Backyard.
There's a child in the air, so enlist your child's help to warm up your home with mood lighting greenery and natural objects. Look around the backyard together for late blooming flowers, grasses, leaves, sprigs of pine, and branches you can use to create original displays. Bringing the outdoors into your home contributes to a peaceful, serene atmosphere.

A Healthy Color.
Colorful food usually means healthy food, so involved your children in helping you create meals with lots of fresh, vibrant fruits and vegetables. For example, let them choose ingredients for a tasty, nutritious smoothie: combine a banana with fresh or frozen blueberries, a strawberries or raspberries in the blender with yogurt; It's a great way to teach kids about making a smart food choices.
