...planning of moving?

If you are planning of moving or in the process of moving do you usually hire a professional movers to pack and move everything for you? Or do you do the packing and have movers pick and drop off your things? What about packing everything yourself and doing all the lifting yourself as well.

You see when we move to our house 2 years ago, we did all the packing and my husband, brother in-law and a friend of my hubby did all the heavy lifting. I help a little bit as well as my mom, but we can only carry the small things specially that I was 5 months pregnant that time and I don't think it was advisable since our apartment was in the 3rd floor. But doing it all by ourselves was a lot of job, from the packing, lifting, carrying and unpacking again... it was too much for me. It would have been good if we hired us a professional moving services to do all the heavy lifting, carrying and packing for us. It probably save us our sanity and stress.

We went for a walk today and I saw some new neighbors had move in to one of the house that was for sale in a while. And I can still see a lot of boxes on their garage because it was open, and I wonder if they hired a professional movers?

Next time we are moving, hopefully to our new house we are definitely hiring a pro.
