If you have a media room or TV room or a family room and you want to maximize the space that you can use then built ins are definitely the solution. We have a 3 bedroom house and it's quiet tiny and we want to maximize the space that we can use. So we turn one of the bedroom into our office/media room.
So was is possible to combine the two functional area in such a tiny space (10x10)? Yup! we were able to make the 2 area function in one small room. My husband has this brilliant idea of creating a custom stereo cabinet that can hold all of the media gadgets that we have. And it sure does works good, he just have to finish it.

Some built ins were also installed on the laundry area as well as in the closet. When you have a tiny house, believe me, this built ins will really come in handy.
