Buy and Sell - All Things Handcrafted at Etsy

If you are shopping for something handcrafted what's the first place that comes to your mind? I would say, you probably say Ebay, big old Ebay. I guess that's pretty much understandable because Ebay has become one of the most popular online community to sell just about anything. But when I say handcrafted which by the way Ebay don't specialized with, it's now the community to buy and sell anything and everything that would sell, there is a growing company that actually caters handcrafted products.

It is called Etsy. Found last June 2005 by 3 gentleman, Robert Kalin, Chris Maguire and Haim Schoppik and it flourished since then. The way it works is very much similar to Ebay and even Craigslist. But with Craigslist, you don't have to pay anything in order to list your products and Ebay and Etsy, there is listing fee and they get 3.5 of every sale. The only difference that I can see is that your products has to be handcrafted so you can list it. I open an account after I realized that my products for my store are not made by me, they were handcrafted but not by me so I have to hold off to moving my store there.

The creator of the business frequently add new features and tools to the site in order to help sellers gain exposure and traffic. And last weekend, I browse around some more and found a couple of sellers that I am actually interested in doing a feature review for my blog (This will be my latest project in the next coming days). So I sent out some business proposals and hopefully I will get some good response . It would not only benefit them as far as traffic (traffic could mean potential customers) but exposure as well. Pretty much like what the team are doing, getting some good exposure. Both parties will definitely be on a win win situation.

One of the shop that I found absolutely amazing as far as the products listed is Blue Orchid Handbags. This shop has some of the most gorgeous collection of tote's that I have seen so far. I love bags and when it comes to fashion and style, the designer has definitely got some.
