Did you remember to add your blog to search engines?

I have seen a lot of blog who are trading links or asking for link exchange but when you check their blog (URL of their blog)using Google search, it is not even index by Google. So if you are the owner of the blog you are not really going to benefit as far as ranking not the other blogger.

So with that, there's just two reasons that I can think of. The blog is new or that they forgot to add their blog to the list.

If you are a new blogger or new in the blogging world or your website is new, the first thing that you have to do is add contents to your blog. Once you have added contents to your blog, then its time to add your URL to search engine. Think of it as being presented to the society. You want to be known, you want your blog to be known.

So how do you add your blog to Goggles search engine? The steps is actually simple.

First, go to Google.com, on the search box type in ADD URL. And it will give you a whole lot of search result on different search engine where you can add your Blog URL.

Open Directory Project (DMOZ)
Exack Seek
Scrub the Web
AltaVista
WhatUSeek

There are some of these sites have fees in order for your blogs or website to be included on your directory. But mostly are free. Some of the most important to consider is Google, Yahoo and DMOZ. Make sure to do a search for your blog URL once in a while to check if the search engine had crawl your blog.
